Site Controller SC-8100
The PUMA SC-8100 Site Controller is a powerful, 1RU rack mounted network element interface device with intelligence and non-volatile memory capable of providing complete access and control of any network element at a remote site. The SC-8100 has two expansion slots available to accommodate a full range of network element interfaces, which may be required at a remote site.
The SC-8100 comes standard with the following interfaces:
- One 10/100 network uplink port for IP access to the CC-9000
- One serial console port for administration or serial uplink to the CC-9000
- One optional PCMCIA air card interface for IP access to the CC-9000 over a secure VPN connection
- 14 switched IP ports for connection to IP-based network elements (13 ports if the optional cellular antenna RET controller function is enabled)
- Two of the 14 (or 13) IP ports have power over ethernet (POE) capability for video camera compatibility
- One optional RS-485 AISG v2 compliant RET controller capability
The two expansion slots may be used to accommodate the following plug-in cards:
- An 8 port serial interface card to connect to serial based network elements
- A 16 port serial interface card to connect to serial based network elements
- A alarm monitoring and aggregation card which provides the following capabilities:
- 16 alarm monitoring inputs, configurable as normally open or normally closed
- 5 form C relay outputs
- 8 analog inputs (0-10V or 4-20ma)
